American Roulette

Roulette has different kinds of variations, that you can find in the roulette game offered at online casinos. While most online casinos offer European Roulette, since it is the most popular variation, they also often offer American Roulette and French Roulette.

This version of roulette distances itself from the other roulette variations in that it has two zeros, instead of one. This results in higher win chances for the online casino: 1 in 19 in American Roulette, versus the 1 in 37 chances for European Roulette. Furthermore, players at American roulette tables also have different colour chips, and the numbering sequence on the roulette wheel differs.

How does American Roulette work?

With American Roulette, the wheel consists of 38 slots numbered from 00 up to 37. Because of this extra box, also creates possibilities for additional betting positions. Regarding the rest, American roulette is played the same as the other roulette types. The dealer closes the bets, spins the wheel, and then the roulette ball goes in the opposite direction.

Where can I play?

See the list below to see where you can play American Roulette. Since most online casinos available offer European Roulette, unless otherwise specified, it is handy to know where to register if you are looking for this specific variation of roulette. Usually, you can try out the roulette table games in the free-play mode, in case you have not played before. Some of these online casinos do however require that you register first.
